Keel Laying, Gdynia, Poland

As the chosen platform design provider and technology partner for Poland’s Miecznik frigate programme, we were proud to attend the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium’s Keel Laying ceremony for the first ship of three for the Polish Navy.

The ceremony took place at the PGZ-SW shipyard in Gdynia, Poland and marked a significant milestone in the build programme.  

Poland’s Miecznik frigates are based on Babcock’s Arrowhead 140 Frigate design and we are working with our colleagues in Poland to transfer knowledge and technology from the UK to support the design and build of the frigates.
