Arrowhead 140 will carry one of the world’s navies’ preferred combat systems – leveraging the UK’s strong footprint in Naval Communications, EW, weapon systems and ASW sonar (for export variants) and strengthening the UK as a naval centre of excellence through technology transfer into the UK of world-leading combat management and radar systems.

Arrowhead 140 is inherently flexible and adaptable in order to meet a diverse range of customers requirements and customisations. The Arrowhead 140 design is spacious, to accommodate capability updates or changes. This design flexibility enables in-service capability insertions or enhancement, limiting the need to wait for significant maintenance periods for upgrades to take place, ensuring customers get the capability they need, when they need it.

Additionally, our equipment selection process follows our tailored and trusted Integrated Logistic Support process to ensure the equipment is supportable and replaceable through obsolescence pathway management.

Many customers may wish to develop local build and support capabilities and we are able to offer a range of export strategies to maximise local in-country content through technology and knowledge transfer.

We recognise each customer has different needs driven by regional threats, budget, capability and adaptability requirements. We have the design and build flexibility and capacity to offer a wide range of design variants to the export market in terms of the platform, combat system and internal specifications whilst Arrowhead 140 specifications already meet NATO noise requirements for an ASW vessel. This means each customer will be able to select the features that best meet their requirement and budget.
